Refund Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
1. Default: all sales final
Unless the event organizer explicitly offers refunds, all ticket sales on FUNC are final. Tickets are issued and sold by the organizer, and the organizer sets the refund policy for their event. FUNC is a technology provider and limited payment facilitator; refund decisions on completed, non-cancelled events belong to the organizer.
2. Organizer-issued refunds
Organizers can issue full or partial refunds from their event dashboard up to 7 days after the event ends. After that window, refunds are locked because promoter commissions have auto-paid out to promoters' bank accounts and can no longer be reversed. When a refund is issued:
- The buyer is refunded to their original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- The associated tickets are voided and can no longer be scanned at the door.
- Any unpaid promoter commission tied to the refunded order is automatically voided.
- Stripe processing fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30) are not returned to the organizer.
- The FUNC platform fee is refunded when the buyer paid it at checkout.
3. Cancelled events
If an event is cancelled by the organizer or by FUNC (for safety, compliance, or policy reasons), FUNC automatically initiates full refunds to every ticket buyer, including the FUNC platform fee paid at checkout. Stripe processing fees may not be recoverable depending on the payment method and timing. Buyers are notified by email when refunds are triggered.
4. Postponed or rescheduled events
Tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date. If you cannot attend the new date, the organizer's standard refund policy applies. Contact the organizer directly through the event page for refund requests on rescheduled events.
5. Complimentary and reward tickets
Tickets issued as promoter rewards, VIP comps, guest-list additions, or organizer freebies have $0 cash value and are not eligible for cash refunds. They can be voided by the organizer if needed.
6. Resale marketplace
Tickets purchased through the resale marketplace (when enabled for an event) are final. The original organizer's refund policy does not apply to secondary-market purchases. If the event is cancelled, resale buyers are refunded the amount they paid; the 20% resale platform fee and the organizer's royalty are also returned to the buyer in a cancellation.
7. Chargebacks and disputes
We strongly encourage buyers to contact the organizer and FUNC support before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks trigger an automatic ticket void and may result in the account being suspended pending review. Fraudulent chargebacks are reported to Stripe and disputed on the organizer's behalf. Repeated chargeback abuse may result in permanent account termination and blocking from future purchases.
8. FUNC platform fees
FUNC charges a 15% platform fee on paid primary sales. When passed to the buyer at checkout (the default), this fee is refunded in full on cancelled events and on organizer-issued full refunds. On resale transactions, the 20% resale platform fee is non-refundable except in the case of a cancelled event.
9. Pro subscriptions and seat packs
Organizer Pro subscriptions ($49/month) and add-on seats ($10/month individual or $35/month for a 5-pack) renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the Manage Subscription portal; access continues through the end of the current billing period. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where FUNC failed to deliver the service.
10. How to request a refund
Contact the event organizer directly through the event page. If the organizer does not respond within 7 days, or if you believe a refund is warranted under this policy (for example, the event was cancelled but no refund was issued), email support@func-app.com with your order ID and we will investigate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email. Continued use of FUNC after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
