Buyer Agreement

1. What you are buying
When you purchase a ticket on FUNC, you are entering into a contract with the event organizer, not with FUNC. FUNC operates the checkout, holds funds on behalf of the organizer through Stripe Connect, issues the ticket, and provides check-in and support tools. The ticket is a revocable, personal license to attend the event on the terms set by the organizer and the venue.
2. Pricing and fees
Ticket prices are set by the organizer. FUNC's 15% platform fee is passed to you at checkout by default and shown as a separate line item before payment. Stripe payment processing fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 in the US) may be included. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout where required.
3. Guest checkout and account claim
You can purchase as a guest with just an email. We send you a claim link so you can sign up with the same email and add the tickets to your wallet. Until you claim, your tickets are tied to your email address; anyone with access to that email can view them. We recommend creating an account promptly.
4. Dynamic QR codes
Each ticket is delivered as a dynamic QR code that rotates every 60 seconds inside your wallet. This prevents screenshot fraud. Screenshotted, printed, or shared QR images may fail to scan at the door. To enter, open your wallet in the FUNC app (or the wallet link in your confirmation email) with a live internet connection.
5. ID verification at age-restricted events
Organizers may require ID scanning at 18+ or 21+ events. You consent to have your government-issued ID barcode scanned at the door for age verification. FUNC parses the barcode to check date of birth and records only the pass/fail result and timestamp against your check-in — not the full contents of your license.
6. Transfers
If the organizer enables transfers, you can send tickets to another verified email from your wallet. Once a transfer is accepted, the original ticket is voided and the recipient becomes the new owner. Transfers may be disabled for past events or high-security tiers.
7. Resale marketplace
Where enabled, you may list your ticket for resale within the price cap set by the organizer. On sale, FUNC automatically splits the proceeds: 20% platform fee to FUNC, organizer's royalty (default 5%), and the remainder to you paid via your linked Stripe Connect account (Stripe onboarding required to receive payouts). Resale purchases by other buyers are final except when the event is cancelled.
8. Refunds
All sales are final unless the organizer offers refunds or the event is cancelled. See the full Refund Policy for details on organizer-issued refunds, cancelled events, and the 7-day post-event refund window.
9. Chargebacks
Contact the organizer and FUNC support before filing a chargeback with your card issuer. Chargebacks trigger an automatic ticket void, may result in account suspension, and, if determined to be fraudulent, may be reported to Stripe.
10. At the venue
You are subject to the venue's rules including age policies, dress codes, bag checks, search policies, and code of conduct. Organizers and venues may deny entry or remove you for violating those rules; ticket refunds in such cases are at the organizer's discretion. FUNC is not responsible for venue conduct or safety.
11. Communications
By purchasing you consent to receive transactional emails and (where you provided a phone number) SMS about your order and event. You can unsubscribe from non-essential messages at any time; transactional messages required to service your order cannot be disabled. Message and data rates may apply.
12. Assumption of risk
Attendance at live events involves inherent risks including personal injury, illness, property loss, and exposure to loud sound, lights, and crowds. You attend at your own risk. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or where the law does not permit limitation.
13. Limitation of liability
FUNC's aggregate liability to you for any claim related to a ticket purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the ticket giving rise to the claim. This Agreement is subject to and incorporated into the FUNC Terms of Service.
